For all of the anime lovers that are looking for classic good anime, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a great place to start. The show revolves around a world where minds can be downloaded into a cyber-brain. A person's ghost lives on inside their artificial cyber-body. The main characters work for Section Nine that operates behind the scenes on anti-terrorism and high profile crimes. If you love mysteries, war films, and drama, then this is the anime for you. A main point that the movies and both series explore is the theory of a stand-alone complex.

The theory basically states that within every society there are people who are completely cut off from the social standard. In Ghost in the Shell, that refers to the cyber mind being cut off from the web of reality and opting for a cyber-existence online inside the net. Those with a stand-alone complex react to the rest of society in various ways. While exploring this concept Section Nine is in pursuit of the notorious Laughing Man criminal during the first series. The Laughing Man, of course, is not the only criminal that Section Nine must contend in this technological society.

It is suggested that you start your experience with Ghost in the Shell by watching the oldest movie first. The oldest movie shows viewers the very first case that the Major's team encounters as well as their previous appearances. Next work your way through the first series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and go right into Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG. After watching Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society, you should watch the second movie, which is newer. By watching them in this order, you will view the entire Ghost in the Shell anime in the order it was produced.

This anime also produced some amazing music. Some of the artists that worked on the various Ghost in the Shell soundtracks are Yoko Kanno, Ilaria Graziano, Origa, and Gabriela Robin. The most famous songs off these soundtracks are Inner Universe and Rise because they are the opening themes to the anime series. However, songs such as Monochrome, Velveteen, Cyber Bird, I Can't Be Cool, Zero Signal, Torukia, and Be Human are also good tracks to listen to when you are on the go. All of the listed above tracks can be found on various different soundtracks that are on iTunes right now.

To find the albums you can type in Yoko Kanno because she was one of the major musicians that helped to create Ghost in the Shell's music. Just take a few minutes out of your busy schedules to listen to the previews of each track on all of the available soundtracks. There are even more great songs on each album that have not been listed in this article. You are guaranteed to find something that you enjoy listening to on your favorite devices. Also, you can try out some of each artist's personal music. Sometimes you can find gems hiding in a soundtrack artist's personal albums.
