Food Network always has a wide variety of cooking shows to watch all day and night. However, one of the more popular shows is Diners Drive-ins and Dives. A man named Guy Fieri is the host of this show and it airs every year during different seasons. Food Network is well known for their quality programming and this show is no exception.

The host of Diners Drive-ins and Dives or Triple D as he affectionately calls it, travels around the country in his convertible looking for good local diners, drive-ins, and dives. When he finds a good place, Guy stops in to share how the food of that establishment is made and how the dining experience is there. Let us just say that Guy has an unconventional way of hosting, which often leads him to helping the chefs of the establishment cook the meal he is about to be served. His bubbly personality makes everyone who meets him smile at least while they are around him.

Diners Drive-ins and Dives has also traveled to places such as Disney Land during the holidays to enjoy the holiday food there. In that episode, Guy takes his entire family and you see both of his sons as well as his wife. He gets his children involved in the cooking process of creating cakes, cookies, and candy that Disney Land is so famous for during the holiday season. He is always getting to go into exclusive places and meet so many different chefs. You might be asking what the point is to going to these diners, drive-ins, and dives.

In this world's failing economy, shows like Triple D help small cafe establishments continue to succeed. Guy's show provides information on how to get to the places that viewers see on Diners Drive-ins and Dives as well as free advertising, which is important to any thriving company. The show promotes viewers to take a chance on a diner, drive-in, or dive instead of a fast food restaurant the next time they travel across country. Often you will not know what kind of food or the quality you can experience in a smaller establishment. You can still have a good time in a family run diner, drive-in, or dive. Guy shares more than just the food and his experience though. He also gives you some background information about the owners and the chefs that work there.

Through his tireless efforts in his convertible car, Guy hunts through the US to find the best Diners Drive-ins and Dives. If you are on Food Network, you should really sit and watch the show because it only lasts half an hour. Most episodes even air in the evenings for your viewing pleasure. Food Network's original programming is always innovative and provides wonderful entertainment. Of course, food shows are still educational so they are good programs to share with family members that are curious about cooking or where food is gathered. So, give Diners Drive-ins and Dives an opportunity to show you a new way to enjoy a cross-country trip.
