The Modern Looney Tunes Show
0 of 0 votes

James Windham

Most of everyone knows who Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Speedy are from Merry Melodies shows. You might even know them from Baby Looney Tunes. However, there is a new modern show that comes on Cartoon Network nearly every day called the Looney Tunes Show.

All of the Looney Tunes live in a place called Suburbia in the show. Bugs and Daffy lived together in the same house even though Daffy is only mooching off Bugs. Despite the fact that they rarely get along, Bugs likely enjoys having Daffy around. Speedy also lives in Bugs’ house in a mouse hole in the kitchen. You usually do not see speedy except on certain occasions when there is turmoil going on with Bugs and Daffy. When you see Daffy, you will understand that he is being used to make fun of an in real life parallel because he thinks that he is Wizard. Bugs does not have a particular job, but receives checks from a patent for a carrot peeler every month. Speedy owns a pizza joint in town that is very popular too. Other Looney Tunes favorites like Granny and Sam live next to Bugs on the same street. Tweety and Silvester live with Granny in her two-story home. Sam’s home always looks like a mess from the outside.

Lola makes a comeback as well in the Looney Tunes Show. However, she is portrayed as stalker that chases after Bugs quite often. She is forgetful and does not seem to understand much of anything, which is nothing like the Lola we met in the movie that Bugs and Daffy starred in with Mikael Jordan. The Martian occasionally makes an appearance in one place or another as well as the forgetful Orange cat and the Witch. The witch actually lives on the same street as Bugs and Daffy and works as a Psychologist part-time. Another favorite is Taz who actually plays as Bugs’ dog to Daffy’s dismay. Daffy and Taz do not get along at all.

Even though the Looney Tunes Show has turned into a children’s soap opera, the show has not lost any of its appeal. Road Runner and the Coyote are even more modern since their cartoons are now in 3D when they appear in the show. Children and adults of all ages can enjoy this show on Cartoon Network. The show comes on around three in the afternoon and is usually at least a half an hour to an hour if they have two episodes back to back. The channel sometimes even has the normal Looney Tunes hour come on after the Looney Tunes Show, which gives you an hour and half to enjoy your favorite Looney Tunes characters.

No matter how you decide to watch this show, you should give The Looney Tunes Show a try this year to see how much things have changed over the years for Bugs Bunny and all of the other Looney Tunes. Cartoon Network is just the place for all of your cartoon favorites including Tom and Jerry.
